Shopping vintage pieces... where do I start?
The moment you enter in a Vintage store or even a thrift store, is the point where you absoultely need a strategic plan in mind. Strategic meaning, heavily infulenced or like, your inspiration is at it's highest peak. This can obviously come with 'in-through-time' carefully planning yet, My best piece of advice, for starters, is the fact that not only is it the best way to find 'state-worthy' items but also, the best way to have a unique story to share, which happens to be my favorite aspect. Following this, The biggest thing I subconsiously look for is the quality of fabric, matched with the decided price. If the quality or nature of this specific piece is of insignifacant, I would move on. Lastly, a piece of advice worth keeping in mind would be, setting your price limit wisely. When I think of thrift stores, I would be looking towards a $50-$190 range, depending on what location and what franchise. In terms of Vintage stores, the same would apply yet, my expectations would aim a big higher like, $90-$650, depending on the quantity and home-location of pieces.
